    know when he died but it was before 1914.  She m. Frederick William Strake on 4 Oct 1914.  He survived her

    "Nice (Lincoln County) post office, formerly Lutgens, was established April 24, 1917. The office was discontinued November 15, 1919. It was named for Captain  Henry “Harry” Nice (1837-1921), a prominent Alsea Bay resident during the last half of the 19th Century. Nora L. Strake was the first postmaster."
