My Brewers were from North Carolina and Arkansas, but I don't have an Adam.
Here's my line of Brewers just in case you can find a connection.

John BREWER (b. 1793 NC, d. 1845 AR) married Elvira ALEXANDAR (b. 1799 NC,
d. 1857 Lane, OR).  Their children were William Alexandar (b. 1818 AR),
Caroline, Jack, Lucinda, Oliver, Reece A. (b. 1836), and Sarah

William Alexandar Brewer married Margaret Isabelle SCOTT (b. October 29,
1820 SC, d. March 14, 1913 WA) February 26, 1841.  Their children were
Martha Ann (b. January 15, 1843 WA), John Fletcher (b. March 2, 1844 AR),
Sarah Elvira (b. September 10, 1846), Mary Lucinda (b. March 26, 1848),
Amanda Caroline (b. October 6, 1849), James Henry (b. December 20, 1850),
George Warren (b. April 23, 1852), William Thomas (b. September 1, 1853),
Evangeline St.Clair (b. June 16, 1855), and Orlando Byron (b. March 11,
1857.

John Fletcher Brewer married Elvira Ann AXTELL (b. September 26, 1847 IL, d.
January 12, 1939 OR) April 26, 1865.  Their children were Ulysess Grant (b.
March 6, 1865/6), Arthur Manning (b. February 5, 1868 WA), Margaret Anna (b.
December 30, 1869), William Henry (b. March 3, 1872 WA), Ethel Gail (b.
December 27, 1873 WA), John Howard (b. March 23, 1876 WA), Valentine (b.
February 14, 1876 WA), Rachel Jennette (b. November 20, 1879) Lucretia
Garfield (b. August 15, 1881 WA), and Milton (b. November 19, 1883 OR).

Rachel Jennette Brewer married Charles HOWARD (b. 1885 KY) April 26, 1915.
They had one son John Brewer Howard (b. February 7, 1916).
Rachel's second marriage was to Francis Emory SPOOR (b. October 28, 1869
IN).  They were married September 24, 1921 and had one son Francis Emery
Spoor Jr.
