Betty and Sue: Thanks for responding. I understand there is a problem here with my e-mail. I'm going to try and send an attachment again. But I'll kinda summarize things. My line of the Dye Family apparently comes from Wales.
They migrated west and spent a number of years in Missouri. I'm quite sure my mother (born Cora Belle Dye) Came West on the Oregon Train (Shee Was Born in Missouri in 1895.
I Believe that JOHN DAY is my 12th ggFather. He was an Early Northwest Explorer and member of the ASTORIA Exploriation (Named For JOHN JACOB ASTOR. There is a Town in Eastern Oregon named JOHN DAY and it is on the John Day River (east fork I believe). I lived in that John Day Area for about 4 or 5 months. I was a student at Oregon State University Studying to be a Geologist. Eastern Oregon is basically a High Desert Hot in the Summer and Cold in the Winter. We lived in tents and ran from rattle Snakes. It was a great life ! I will now try to do just one attachment. Please note that at no time do my hands leave my wrists. If the attachment works my JOHN DAY line fits in just after JOHN DAY born 1537/1544. I will send that attachment separately.
