I don't have an Ambrose that is that young but the name is one that crops up in my family line occasionally. Do you have any ancestry for him? Would his g grandparents be Calvin II and Clarissa (Richardson) Powell by any chance?They had a son they named Ambrose that was born in 1829 and I am looking at the chance that the name was handed on down the line. I don't have anything else on Ambrose Powell except that he was born in Ohio. A large portion of the family came out to Oregon in the 1850's.
