Just hit "Reply all" and it will go to the list and everyone else...
however I agree.  Reply should generally go to the list, not to the
individual.  Is the list admin available for comment?

By the way, here is a site which might be useful in genealogical

I am not associated with this site.  I just found it and thought it was
interesting.  Unlike today, the Pioneer population of Oregon was quite
religious.  There were few social outlets available other than church.
