Ray;
I realize your hesitency in giving out your address. There are so
many scams, etc. Anyway, I'm not hunting for relationships or into
anything else. I don't freely give out personal information. I am
75 and don't chase men! I* will try to tellyou how to get to your close
cemetery. I hope it isn't too confusing.
The one in Corvalis I think was for another side of the family, but-
Twin Oaks memorial Gardens= Go east out o Corvallis on Hwy 34 to a
left fork in the road- the first one going to Albany. It is about in
that fork of the road.
The Powell Cemetery known as Berlin Cemetery= Take Hwy 34 east out of
Corvallis. Go past freeway, staying on Hwy 34 to Lebanon. On the east
side of Lebanon there is a road going north to Scio or Lacomb. Don't
go north, turn right to Berlin. I cannot find my directions to the
cemetery. It is in a notebook that I take when I'm tracking things
down. It is on a little country road around Berlin. It is a small
community so someone could direct you. It is on a little graval road.
The address for:
Oregon Historical Cemeteries Assoc.
P.O.Box 14279
Portland, Or. 97293
(503)232-1643
They are a wonderful organization. I have been a member for several years.
The lady who wrote the cemetery guide was the executive director for
many years. She just retired last year. They have a library that
is very helpful. I have found where relatives were buried through
their records.
Good luck on your searching.
Dorothy Webb
