[or-roots] OBIT REPORT - Register-Guard -Here's the story

Some of you may have noticed that the Obit Report from the Register-Guard 
came to an abrupt halt about theee weeks ago. I had a major computer crash -- 
and, of course I was not backed up like I should have been.

Everyone who reads this, STOP RIGHT NOW AND BACK UP everything on your hard 
drive. It can happen at any time. I worked into the evening on a Tuesday -- and 
shut down normally. The computer wouldn't boot up on Wednesday morning.

Turns out that the Mother Board was the root cause of my three hard drive 
failures in the past two years. So, I now have a new Mother Board, a new 80 gb 
hard drive and a new floppy drive. (Yes, the floppy was corrupted, too.)

I had last backed up on 9/22/2002 - yes that is 2002. So I lost most of 2003. 
I have them on floppy until June, but that is when the floppy drive began to 
fail.

Sooooooo, why am I telling you all this.
Well, I WILL still index the Register-Guard Obits for my personal use, BUT I 
WILL NOT be posting them to Or-Roots. Anyone who wants to receive the obits 
beginning where I left off on August 27, please email me personally and I will 
make my own mailing list. Let's see how it works.
