Bob,
I think in the long run, you will think it is a good thing. I inherited my
mother-in-laws stuff. She had list after list of essentially the same
information, just presented a smidge differently.
I entered her information into a program and was able to see relationships
that were not evident to me earlier.
It is not necessary to share your information on the web, until such time
as you feel ready. Feel free to share with your cousins, but I'd be
cautious about sharing living people's information until you really know
the receipient. I trusted too much and ended up with a 2 month old childs
information up and out on the web. I still don't have all the references
to her gone, but it took 2 years to get the majority of the references gone.
