This is what I know. The Bradley's Lee's and Leabo's were all connected.
The oldest boy of James Bradley, Furman
Bradley was a Wagon Master, ( looking for right term). He came to Oregon
very early. They ran a wagon train from
Ohio, to Iowa to Salt Lake City, to Oregon to K-falls to California to
Arizona and back again. The Lee's were in
Mo. with the Leabo's happy hunting. Do you have a map of there origional
Land Grant here in Oregon.

Hello List,
I am new to this list and am a descendant of Philander Lee and his wife Anna
Harvey (Green) of Canby.
I am replying to an old thread that I found for this email board in regards
to why the Philander Lee family came to Oregon. The family story goes that
at least this part of the Lee/Green family's that came to Oregon because
they had "heard" that the weather would be good for their son Edwin T. Lee's
breathing problems. This would be a hard stretch for those of us living here
at this time but at that time they were un aware of the "rain" we have. This
story was later verified by some research I found at the Lebanon County
Library donated there by Winifred (Saltmarsh) Raines family after her death
She had been in communication and actively researching the Lee family with
a descendant of Edwin T. Lee's by the name of Julia Roberts. It was
discussed in several letters and Julia had said her Grandfather had not
wanted to return to Oregon after finding that during the Lee's "gold rush"
trip to California where he found he could breath a lot better. He did
return to Oregon but later had a Donation Land Claim at Red Bluff,
California where he raised sheep and his daughter Mary Elizabeth Lee came to
join him and married there and is also buried there.
Now as to who they had heard the information on the weather here from I have
never come across any info that would lead to Rev. Jason Lee being the
person to supply this information. And this topic had been discussed in some
detail by these 2 ladies also. Nor can I find in my research anything to
link the Rev. Lee into these Lees. It would help I think if I could find
something. I return every so often to this research but still can not find
anything more on the Lees any further than I had several years ago.

This is my website for the Oregon Trail families of Ora Melvina (Lee)
Cattley. There also were two Greens that had come on the train also, one was
John Harvey Green/sp Philinda Lee and the other was their brother Isreal
Nelson Green who joined the train in Iowa but returned after not liking the
weather. He later went to Texas and I have been in touch with a descendant
of his in the last six months also.
Hope to hear from the other Lee family links on the board and what they have
found or not found sence our last communications.
Candis Lee Cattley-Sanders.
