 Not if she didn't see it.  It is hard sometimes to explain that there are a
lot of (okay more than one) books dealing with the subject.  It is amazing
how the 'net opens us up to that idea.  Genealogy is another eye opener to
the fact we aren't the only ones with our name, huh.  Of course you and I

I found a nice book that has been out of print for quite some time on
http://www.alibris.com/ but your title doesn't come up on the search.  I
typed in Oregon Pioneers as subject and quite a few came up.  Any chance
that your friend might have a better idea about the title?

 A friend of mine is looking for a book, "Desperate Heart".  It is about the
settling of the Oregon pioneers in the northern part.  She isn't exactly
sure of the title but at 83 she has lots of information to sort through.  I
thought that if anyone would know our wonderful genealogists will have the
answer!  Can any of you help me with the title and or a source for the book.
 She is an avid reader and a wonderful friend.  I'd really like to surprise
her with it for a gift!
