I will say two things:

1. Portland newspapers may not have obituary on her father. So to
counter that possiblility, she will need to obtain copy of death
certificate. The undertaker is named on the certificate. And the
newspaper archives may not be helpful when there is no index, the
next logical place to find out is to contact Multnomah County
Public Library for the obituary index. I know they do because
I used them in past when I was in Portland in 1970s.

2. Ridicule has NO place on these open lists. Period! Not even a
put-down message. Courts are already considering these email
messages as evidence. It is not first time such emails were used
as evidence.
