I checked this out and it is interesting, my great grandfather Albert H. Robie was with Pete French when they were attacked and in fact were rounding up cattle that Albert was selling to Pete, he was selling his entire ranch 43,600 acres to French, they made the ride from where they were attacked to Fort Harney then Albert made the ride from their to Fort Boise for the Troops, he never recovered from the long ride and died not long afterwards.
