Identity theft

I've posted my GEDCOM on RootsWeb's WorldConnect Project, but now I'm having second thoughts.

Yesterday I received a message from some SOB in Africa offering me some monies that were placed in trust by my late brother, while he was in Nigeria (?).  The message stated that my brother, his wife and ONLY DAUGHTER, were killed in an auto accident in Africa.  My brother never was out of this country.  He had no daughter.  He died of cancer here in National City (near San Diego, CA).  Cute scam.

The message was very cleverly personalized, but it didn't fool me; it went directly to the trash can.  It did not collect $200, and a "Get Out of Jail Free" card will not recover it.
