You can go to your local library and ask for these newspapers on micro film. It is called inter library loan. It takes about a month and it is free.

There is a fellow who used to frequent the list by the name of Greg Toftdahl
who does that sort of stuff for a fee, I forget how much he charged me, but
I would have saved money by making the trip and doing it myself since I only
live 90 miles away, I was just too lazy. If he is still lurking he will
probably contact you off list to offer his services. Otherwise you might try
Oregon Genealogical society, or you could wait till I get around to doing
some research in the Knight library archives (Lord knows when) or try to get
ahold of archival tape through a local family history center.
I wish someone had had athe presence of mind to archive them when the RG
started putting them online, oh well.

My great aunt, Gertrude M. Mourer died on 20 May 1991 in Eugene, OR - Is
there a way to find an old obit from either the Springfield News or the
Eugene Register Guard? I'm not sure how, but she was related to my
grandfather (Harry Mourer) who I have never been able to find any
information on. Also - I'm pretty sure they would have used Buell Chapel in
Springfield - that seems to be the common theme on that side of the family.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks.
