George;

I looks like your folks are like a lot of mine and didn't answer when the
Census taker came knocking. I did find your family in 1880 and maybe part of
the problem is them. You seem pretty sure of the 1850 birth date for Mary
and it makes sense if she was married in 1870, but (and maybe this is just
poor transcription) finding her in the LDS 1880 Census by age and place of
birth would have been a bit tricky;

       Name Relation Marital Status Gender Race Age Birthplace Occupation
Father's Birthplace Mother's Birthplace
       George HUNTLEY Self M Male W 37 MO Farming OH MI
       Mary HUNTLEY Wife M Female W 25 MO Keeping House
DON'T KNOW   DON'T KNOW
       Mary E. HUNTLEY Dau S Female W 8 OR Going To School
MO   MO
       Sarah HUNTLEY Dau S Female W 6 OR At Home MO MO
       George D. HUNTLEY Son S Male W 4 OR At Home MO MO
       Mennia HUNTLEY Dau S Female W 2 OR At Home MO MO

        Census Place Crown Rock, Wasco, Oregon
        Family History Library Film   1255084
        NA Film Number   T9-1084
        Page Number   185B

Other than that I had no luck, operating on your listing Coos Bay oregon as
a birth place I scrutinized the relevant surnames there pretty close and the
only possible I saw was a Nathl Huntley age 43 that "could" be an Uncle,
unless George's age above is as off as Mary's I don't think George could
have been born when Nathl's wife was 11, lets hope not.

Their kids were; Enoch, Samuel, Thomas, Minerva, Sally Ann, Nimrod, Hannah
and Eben, all born in Oregon except Enoch who is 19 in 1870, Nathl is born
Ohio and Mary J. is born in Missouri.

other than that all I could come up with was the following;

      Name Year Record Type County Source Number
      Huntley, George 12-31-1895 Census Multnomah Genealogical Pct 69 pg 008
      Huntley, George Clarence & Mannen, Mildred Iota 10-10-1908 Marriage
Multnomah Health 11231

      Case#  Pct 69 pg 008
      Name  Huntley, George
      Date  12-31-1895
      Record Type  Census
      County  Multnomah
      Source  Genealogical
      Identifier
      Remarks

      Case#  11231
      Name Huntley, George Clarence & Mannen, Mildred Iota
      Date  10-10-1908
      Record Type  Marriage
      County  Multnomah
      Source  Health
      Identifier  State Registrar
      Remarks

Don't know if they're relevant or not. Have you tried searching for original
records in any of those counties, or are you too far away to do so?

I can look around in the Coos County records if I ever get around to going
to the courthouse there.

Here are some more Coos Co Huntley's;

Coos Co Marr index
HUNTLEY, Sylvester and Laura SYMONS -- 11 Sep 1899
HUNTLEY, William and Mary Emeline WHOBERY -- 7 Mar 1874

CARTER, Thomas M.   and   Laura D. HUNTLEY  -- 9 Jan 1898
MULLEN, John W.   and   Margaret A. HUNTLEY   --  21 Oct 1883

I suppose you have seen all of this and none of it is any use to you, but I
tried.

I have been researching the KINCAID line for many years and have had very
little success.

Mary Eveline KINCAID, b. 22 Sep 1850, Missouri; Married, George Washington
HUNTLEY, 22 Sep 1870, Baker City, Baker, Oregon. First child, Sarah, b.
1874, Baker City; second child, George Douglas, b. 10 Feb 1876, Coos Bay,
Coos, Oregon; third child, Minnie, b. 21 Mar 1878, Coos Bay, Coos, Oregon.

I have researched many, many Missouri and Oregon sources, internet, LDS
Family Search, etc.

Would like any help and suggestions.
