Thanks Carla;
I had specifically requested a name that has since been supplied to me by
Connie from the list who may turn out to be a button hole relative of mine.
I had offered to look up some stuff in Doug Co courthouse for her some time
back and haven't gotten around to it yet and she happens to be a descendant
of Susan's brother John who I had located in 1900.
Now to what you MIGHT be able to do for me, specifically I need to know if
Jean Harlow Jones is her Granddaughter, ie is her son Asa J(ohn?) Jones,
father of Jean Harlow. All my neice who is Asa's granddaughter had was the
names. I imagine I have the right folks since Jones isn't a real common name
in Douglas County, but some proof would be nice. Which is my answer to
Barbara's suggestion by the way, I appreciate the suggestion Barbara, but I
have better luck gettin documents from the court house than through FHC
because at the FHC I am either at the mercy of what is in house or what I
can find online, and in the case of my Douglas Co needs going to the source
is better.
I will be going to the Courthouse before tooooo' long to look for orig
documents. As Sharon, the records clerk pointed out, it is also neat to
actually handle the original documents where that is what they still have, I
have seen the notebook paper that two of my great Uncles and one Great Aunt
wrote their marriage applications on.
The only other thing I could use is some information on my Asa Jones' wife
Vera Holloway, for her I have had no luck at all finding anything. If she is
in Oregon in 1920 she dodged the Census.
Thanks for all the help folks, and by-the-way if I have offered County
courthouse help to anyone who is still here, besides Connie, they need to
get in touch. I know I've offered before and now I can't find the emails in
which I received the info for anyone except Connie. She is going to probably
get the deluxe treatment since it looks like what I will be doing for her
will be for myself too.

Sorry about that, List. Occasionally my laptop sends my e-mail before I'm
done (or in this case, even begun).
This is addressed to Les:
Les, I missed your original post. I have a lot of Douglas County family
information, particularly in the Canyonville, Days Creek, Tiller, Drew,
Azalea areas. Who are you looking for?
Carla
