Carroll;

Too bad you didn't get the Hicks query in sooner, I might have been able to
find something while in Roseburg last week. Now the good news, I will need
to go back soon as I can, also am hoping to hit Knight Library before too
long, I have meant to take my genealogy group there on a field trip for over
a year and just don't seem to make it.

I will file you request under my lookups and hopefully be able to find it
when it counts.

Subject: [or-roots] Look=up at OSU Knight Library

Is there anyone in Eugene wiling and able to do a couple of old newspaper
look-ups at the Knight/ Assuming the newspapers are available.

I would like to have an obit and/or article in the Baker City newspaper for
a Daniel Ryan who died 21 May 1896. He apparently was killed by thieves
while driving a freight wagon (as the story goes as told by my grandfather).

Secondly, I would like to find an obit for Joseph Wesley Hicks who died
between 1905 & 1910 in Douglas or Josephine Co. He lived in Myrtle Creek but
may have died in Grants Pass.

Thanks for any help.
