[or-roots] Meat - PETA - butchering - etc

Actually, I've enjoyed our exchange about our food sources. My father, a
pure-blooded Italian, raised rabbits his entire life. He brought that habit into
MY generation: we always had hutches in town and in the back yard. Now I know
there are those who wouldn't think of eating rabbit, but I grew up on it and it
tastes like chicken. I know my Grandma Guardino, who was born in Sicily, made
chicken-head-and-feet soup. And you know what they say about the Chinese: they
will eat anything! My mother, a Scottish woman, used to fix us cow tongue. We'd
have cold cow tongue sandwishes in our lunch pails. Food fickleness is a learned
behavior. After all, food comes from Safeway, right?
