To Leslie:

My Jones settled in Nebraska. One went to the area of Grants Pass and had a jewelry
store, but later settled in Los Angeles and died there. We have David Jones and his wife
Ann who were born in and died in Wales. About 144 pages singles spaced of descendants.
Jones mar. Jones mar Jones. Ours were from Carmarthen (shire). Related names, Mister,
Thomas, Roberts, McPhillips, Kropach, Hilmer, De Jahn, Grabowski, Kallenbach, Hudson,
Bernard, Sutter, Brunner, and many others.

  Eugene;

  Yes; I have Edward Jones ma. Mary Jones, (not my work, so probably her
  married name only) no further info, she lists one child; Thomas J. Jones b.
  11 June 1830 in Cardiffshire, Wales, UK, 18 October 1860 in Nashotah, Wisc.
  he married my great Aunt Sarah Jane Foster b. 18 May 1837 in Erie Co., Penn.

  These are the Waukesha Co Jones family I mentioned earlier, if any of your
  Welsh Jones folks came from Wisconsin let me know and I will send you the
  whol shebang as I have them or you can go to Blondie's Web site at;

  http://webpages.charter.net/roseandthorns/dcfg03.htm#2079

  And actually if anyone is Curious, they can follow down the page and find a
  link to Minnie Foster and her oldest child was me own Pappa. The lady who
  put this site together is a distant cousin, and a real character. We wish
  she lived closer as the one time she came to visit we had a good time, even
  though she got to meet most of the family at my oldest brothers memorial. It
  was the second service we had for him, we held it on the ranch under the
  oaks on his share of the Family farm and it was one of those "celebration of
  life things" that folks do that really was a joyous/mournful occasion. But I
  digress again I see. Well I still have to try and develop survey coordinates
  for a lot survey tommorrow, so you probably won't see much more of me
  tonight unless it is real late.

  Are any of your Jones related to the Jones of Wales. We have two separate
  families both
  related by marriage and both from Wales circa
  1800's.

  Glenn;

  I've been meaning to ask you, do you have any connection to Sanford Goodell
  Jones born Oct 1847 in Pennsylvania?

  I have two spouses listed for him; Geneva L. ? born abt June 1852 wisconsin
  and Susan Emaline McGinnis b. 16 September 1872; Galesville, Douglas Co.,
  Oregon

  By the latter he had two children Asa 04 December 1906 and Frank 16 December
  1907 plus a daughter Pearl who died young.

  Jones is such a "rare" surname that I realize the likelihood is almost nil,
  but am a bit curious, I also have cousins Jones of Welsh extraction from
  Waukesha Co, Wisconsin on my Dad's mother's side (Foster) and some odds and
  ends here and there I haven't really pinned down.

  If gas had not gone so high I would be doing a lot of traveling right now in
  search of more on my family as I have been on Vacation for nearly two weeks.
  Researching Cross, Craig, Robie, Roe, Barber, Jones and other related
  families.

  Glen Jones Portland.
