Connie posted a really nice quote;

"I believe that to meet the challenges of our times, human beings will
have to develop a greater sense of universal responsibility. Each of us
must learn to work not just for oneself, one's own family or nation, but
for the benefit of all humankind. Universal responsibility is the key to
human survival. It is the best foundation for world peace."

 --His Holiness the Dalai Lama

Not to rain on your parade or anything, but in the coffee shop this morning
I overheard a gentleman in his 80's telling another gentleman of
approximately my age about this incredible thing he had heard about called
"snuff flicks"; for any of you to whom this was as big a shock as it was to
him I just want to say, "you don't want to know", but my point here is as I
told those guys; "it gives you a real warm and fuzzy feeling about the human
race to know that there are people that find that amusing, doesn't it?"

Sarcasm intended; would that we could all aspire toward the Dalai Lama ideal
of life rather than those other jerks.
