I couldn't agree more. According to his 1912 obituary my GG-grandfather
led a group of whites to 'wipe out' some Indians who had presumably been
killing and stealing in the Union County area. I can't say I am proud of
that but as Connie says, it was a part of our past, good, bad or otherwise.
Now is now and all of us should work for a more accepting relationship
with all peoples. Aileen
