[or-roots] Train to Oregon

My grandparents came to Washington in 1902.   I know they were living in the 
Elochoman Valley, Wahkiakum County Washington in 1902 & 3.   I have a picture 
of my grandfather on a logging train in 1904.  Also one of  my Grandmother, my 
father and 2 of his siblings at the Sunny Grove School, Elochoman No. 12 
about 1904.
My father used to tell about coming on the train.  I have wondered just what 
their route might have been.   Have been told the train did come down the 
Oregon side of the Columbia River.
Anybody know any details?
