This is reply to her on both Oregon-L and Or-Roots

1. Death Certificates are available after a lapse of 50 years, 1955 
certs will be available Jan 1, 2006. The Archives DO have subsequent 
years in advance but kept under lock in accordance with the law.
 From now until Dec 31, the 1955 certs have to be ordered from State 
Vital Records office in Portland, OR. All subsequent years, order from 
there.

2. Delayed birth certificates are available on microfilm through Family 
History Centers now.

3. Birth Certificates should be open to public after 100 years is lapsed 
first. Don't know why some 1903 and 1904 aren't available at Archives.
Birth Certificates, less than 100 years, order from Portland office.
Can request for genealogical purposes, unfortunately for $20.00 check or 
$25.00 credit card.
