Do you web feet recall the winter of 1949. The winds blew early, and by T day it had snowed.
8 Above in Portland and 3 above in Seattle in
late Jan/Early Feb, when I left for CA. We hit
ice all the way to the Cartinez Straits in CA
and I found a rabbit that fell out in an ice block
from the rear fender of my 37 Olds coop, a
couple days later in Walnut Creek.

At Christmas Time we also traveled to CA
and found a diesel rig which has stopped to
give aid to a stranded car. He had to heat his
lines with a road flare to keep his rig running.

We used carbord stuffed in the radiator grill
to get the heater and defroster to work.

One the return trip, the oregon forest in the
snow was a beautiful sight.

Hey Les
How is the weather in Cottage Grove, it is turning white here in East Portland and it is not snow, glad both my vehicles are 4x4.
My Cross's are also from the midwest Iowa down through Nebraska and my wife has Cross's in her family from the same part of the country, have not put the two together, YET.
They are all listed on my website for my family, or I should say the most of them.
