Finally got around to loading my FTM and looked at my primary Cross
connection; as far back as I have is Abel Cross b. Canada Aug 1812, ma. Ann
Winger abt 1844 She b. Can. abt 1813; I list six children; Mary Elizabeth,
Peter, Luke, Sarah, Euphemia and Fannie J. b between 1839 and 1856, all in
Wisconsin except Mary who is listed as B. in Cleveland, Ohio. Mary is my
connection she ma. William Jacob Foster 22 Oct 1856 in Stone Bamk, Waukesha
C., Wis.

That or near there is where most of my Father's immediate family are fouund
in the last quarter of the 19th century, I have all their children dead in
Wisconsin except Caroline Elizabeth who is listed as d. 28 April 1956 Clark
Co., ?

I do have a family put together for Luke who moves to Michigan, but
otherwise all I have on this line is the Foster stuff. I also see a
discrepency in dates; I will have to check back with cousin Ann, as marrying
in 1844 and haveing a child in 1839 doesn't seem quite, though we have a
similar conflict with our Chapman connection, it turns out we may not be
Chapmans at all, we trace back to Ggrandpa Sherman, but in 1849 is "father"
has one wife who dies in June and in 1850 Census he is married to second
wife, but "they" have no children of their own, then in 1860 we find Sherman
age 10 listed in 1860. We have two dates of birth, but recent research by
the "Caroles" indicates he may have been born before Emily Bentley married
GGgrandpa, so whose child is he??

Oh what fun.

The only other Crosses I have are the two in New England in the 1560'sto
1727 which are not connected.

My Cross's are also from the midwest Iowa down through Nebraska and my wife
has Cross's in her family from the same part of the country, have not put
the two together, YET.
They are all listed on my website for my family, or I should say the most of
them.
