Bob,
I stumbled across this Goodman during my Powell family searching. It seems 
he spent some time with John Wesley Powell, a naturalist and explorer 
ancestor in my family tree. I don't have enough info from the one article to 
prove or disprove whether he is connected to my Goodmans in my tree. If he 
is related to you, you probably already have the info but I am sending it on 
just in case.
