Jacqueline;
I have a similar problem, it occurs to me that checking property records
from the appropriate time fram might turn something up, also since your
folks were in a town (or village) there might be a (help me out here list, I
can't remember the proper name for them) fire insurance map thingy that
would give the location. Also try the historical society of Benton County or
maybe Monroe has one.

Subject: [or-roots] Stage coach stop in Monroe, OR
Good evening,
Does anyone have suggestions of how to find the stage couch route and stops
along the way. I am interested in any stop that would have been in Monroe,
OR. I know that my gggrandmother and family lived in Monroe, the 1880
census states she runs a boarding house, the 1870 census says her son was a
hotelkeeper. How would one go about finding where the property was in
Monroe?
Thanks for any and all suggestions.
Jacqueline
