Hi Twyla:
I didn't know the Mr. Ortko had passed away recently. Is there a way to get his obituary to put with my books.
His research and knowledge was vast.
You can bet I will hang on to his book and I think I will look at the local book store for more. The main reason I bought them in the first place was to see if my family "Pickler or Robbins" might be in them but they weren't. But after reading the books, and travel through the desert of southern Oregon and seeing the places mentioned in his books, I can feel a connnection to Oregon history.
Babe

Dear Babe;
Great books, I agree. Speaking of greed :-), you might want to hold tight to those books. A friend of mine tried to buy them and they are out of print since Mr. Ontko recently passed. They start in price on Ebay @ $60.00 per copy, I am told.
