Dear Mr. Davies,
I want to thank you for sharing such a family treasure.  This vintage look into "our" past is better than any text book.  As a family historian it is important to never attach current day policical correctness to authentic pieces of history.  Just to accept the information and narratives for the jewels they are. Aunt Charlotte's notes are untarnished peeks into the lives we so desperately are trying to uncover and picture exactly what day to day life was like.
