  Hi Gang and Happy New  Year
  I've just come accross a Book  "Roadside history of OREGON."  It's Published by Mountain Press.The Author is Bill Gulick.  WEB site address is:
  www.mountain-press.com.  It's a really neet History of Oregon done in sections along HiWay routes.  Mountain press also has a number of Roadside books on a number of states, plus Roadside Geology (for the duffer).  I've checked out some of these from my Library and ordered the Oregon History from Powells.  They cover things like Indian raids, shipwrecks, and the Tillamook Burn (how it got started).   I sure recommed these Books.
  Incidently, I just ordered a Roadside History of Texas for my Wife. Yes, she is a Texan and loves her Texas but likes the Pacific NW also.
