I sure can confuse things, I was so rummy when I wrote that I read your name
as Olof Ericson or some such, sorry.

As to how I knew it was him, I figured a name THAT unusual in the same town,
even after 40 years had to be the same person.

I gather you must have successfully contacted him, congratulations. I have
some cousins in California I would dearly love to make contact with, but
most of them apparently don't want to have anything to do with us, and
haven't been in touch with us since my grandmother died in 1947, so probably
never will make contact. I did tie up with a very distant relative of one of
the lines from the in-laws side who said there were real hard feelings as
apparently my blood kin was a wife beater and when she got smart enough to
leave him, she made sure her family and ours lost contact. But the rest of
them I just don't know what happened to.  Oh Well, I have about twice as
much family I know since I started on genealogy as I had before that and
already had ten times as much family I was in touch with as a lot of folks,
so I can't complain.

I have met a few people in my life who had almost no blood relatives that
they knew, I can't imagine that, my maternal grandparents have had 42
descendants by my count, though one of my aunts claimed 69 descendants years
ago.

541-756-2316 is very likely the person you are looking for.

My aplogoies for not checking this sooner, but I was sure she wouldn't be
there and I didn't have any plans to and didn't think you would be desperate
enought to bother the other 55 people under the name Peterson in said phone
book. Granted only part of them are in Coos Bay - North Bend, but after this
long what was the chance she would actually be there.

In my family I rate pertty high up in sedentariness now having been in the
same town for 16 years. Some of my paretns generatation stayed in the same
place all their lives, Dad never lived in one place any longer than ten
years for most of his life. Feel free to tell her I gave you the info, so
she can have somebody close by to be mad at if she isn't interested in
hearing from long lost kin.

Olaf Petersen, Jr., born 1899 son who died 1967 in Friant, Cal.
Olaf Petersen, Jr. had a child:
Marile (sp?) Petersen, who lived at last known address 3880 Liberty Street,
North Bend, Oregon
Would anyone be willing to look up census and or any othjer means to find
them and Marile(?)Peterson. Who may have children or is still living.
