In the Oregon Death Index there is a Samuel McLain who died 22 April 1910 in Benton County, Cert #976.  It might be worth getting a copy from the Oregon State Archives just to see if it might be him.

  I've tried all the resources I can find. Can you help me?
  My Grandmother was Corabelle Mclane.  Her father was Samuel Mark Mclane.
  He was born in KY (abt 1832) but lived in Oregon for a period and I believe he married Josephine Berry abt 1850 inOregon. 
  My Problem is in finding his Father.  I believe he is of the Pennsylvania Mclanes but can't find any good info.  HELP???
