Bob,   here is a couple more things I've found on the previous McClains that I had sent earlier.

Washington County, Ky. Marriages,  Book 1-page 263
Samuel McLean and Keziah Martin married 21 May 1827
Minister was Thomas Atterbury;  Thomas Martin (doesn't say if he is a witness or maybe father of bride)

1830 Census Washington County, Ky.
Samuel L. McLean,  1 male under 5, 1 male 20-30;  1 female under 5, 1 female 20-30

1840 Washington County, Ky.
Samuel McLean,  2 males 5-10,  1 male 30-40; 2 females under 5, 1 female 10-15; 1 female 30-40.

Since Marian County is just south of Washington County, they could have been in the same area, but the border lines could have changed.

Thanks guys for all the info.  The Mclane I'm looking should have a birth day before 1832--most likely around 1800 plus or minus. One of the problems is that there are a number of spellings for Mclane  e.g. McClain, Mcclaine, Mclean, etc.

Bob I am assuming that you have found the 1880 Census with CoraBell living in Fox Valley, Oregon which is now called Lyons, Oregon.

Also they have her father's name listed as Saul instead of Samuel.   Some of the family is buried at Fox Valley Cemetery .

I've tried all the resources I can find. Can you help me?
My Grandmother was Corabelle Mclane.  Her father was Samuel Mark Mclane.
He was born in KY (abt 1832) but lived in Oregon for a period and I believe he married Josephine Berry abt 1850 inOregon.  
My Problem is in finding his Father.  I believe he is of the Pennsylvania Mclanes but can't find any good info.  HELP???
