Anyone living in Oregon at that time will never forget this story of D.B.
Cooper just like we don't forget Mt. St. Helen's eruption, Columbus Day Storm,
etc., etc.

There is a bit more to the D.B. Cooper hijacking story. The money that the
FBI gave to him was in marked $20.00 bills. In 1980, a child digging in the
sand along the Columbia River near Vancouver, Washington, dug up $5,800 of the
money the FBI had given to Cooper. No more money has ever been found, nor has
D. B. Cooper.

If you go to Google and enter D.B. Cooper you can find a great deal to read
about this story.
