Gary, Thanks to an earlier reply to an inquiry of mine, I was able to contact the author Clarence Merchon (sp?) and he sent me several pages with the TAYLOR information, which was PERFECT! Do you know if there is more than one cemetery in that area? I know of the Pioneer Cemetery at the top of the hill and the one at Bridal Veil...just wondering of there were more. I found Ervine Jasper TAYLOR in the Pioneer Cemetery and am still looking for his wife, Margaret. Thanks again for responding. Did you even move to Redmond?

i have two books on the people of corbett and the surrounding area. they are basically pages about the people and where they came from and their children. an excellent source. they have a meeting of the local gene. board once a year in the corbett high school. these books take in a lot of people that lived in that area. being from portland, i know taylor's landing as that is where my gr. grandfather landed when he came home to die. he is buried in the pioneer cem. up on top of the hill. if i can help just let me know. please re-send the data that you know and i will look them up.
gary, now in az.

I am looking for Ervine (Irvin) Jasper TAYLOR wife Margaret who lived at Fisher's Landing (perhaps Clark County) in the 1860 Census. Four children, one being Zachara (Zachary, Zach...who married in Salem and moved his family to Antelope, Oregon) are shown on that census with the fifth child a daughter, Lydia, born in 1860. The TAYLOR family later moved across the river to TAYLOR's Landing, which is now Corbett, Oregon. I would appreciate any information that anyone may have regarding this family.

Whoops thought I had put in the subject on my previous email.
Just purchased today the book Clark County Pioneers, through the turn of the century, if anyone needs a look up.
