[or-roots] An Interesting Book

I've just  come across a book, titled History of Oregon Territory, by  Thomas Jefferson Farnham. first printed abt 1844, this issue was printed 1981 by Ye Galleon Press, Fairfield, WA.  Front to back it's about 100 pages.  It's a slow read as it is in very formal diplomatic language.  However,  It is a discussion by a Lawyer (Farnham) as to why The United States, and particularly Oregon do not belong to England.  It goes through the Whole thing with Spain on the west coast and into the negotiations with Spain, England and the USA.. As I said it's a slow read but , I think, very interesting/  I got my copy at Powels (after reading a copy from out Library)  it cost abut $9.00 and shipping.
