First guess is Ely, Clackamas County. Oregon Geogrphic names says it was
also known as Elyville, a suburb on the Cascade Highway in the extraeme
sourth part opf Oregon City. Sometimes called Mountain view, probably
because it is ner the cemetery of that name. the place was named in ho or of
fred and George Ely who settled there in the  early days. well known public
spirited citizens , George later went to Inglewood Ca. Ely PO was in
operation from 1891 to 1894 with George C Ely Postmaster. In operation again
7-1895 - 12 1904.
