Two items, one a query and one FYI.
1. I'm searching for a picture of Castle Dobbs, Antrim, Ireland. Any Ideas?
2. Vol. 105, No 2, Summer 2004 Issure of the Oregon Historical Quarterly has a 21 page, quite well researched article on the Origins of the Name " Oregon".
Try www.historycooperative.org/journals/ohq/105.2/goddard.hmtl. I am still studying it but it appears that the word comes from the Algonquin Indian name for good or peaceful or sweet water.
