You should just come to our next meeting which is Dec. 3 at 10:00 a.m.
You can join right then or you can attend the meeting (free) and decide
after if you want to join. The lecture for that meeting is going to be
on how to do research on military records at NARA. It should be a very
informative lecture.

Yes, you should they actually have a lot of good stuff on Oregon, like
abstracts from the donation land claims. I have made a lot of progress
since I joined.

My aunt, her son and I were there and I believe it

was in mid to late summer. I recall that we ran

to get away from the flames.

FYI

The city of Bandon was origianlly called Averill after my gggrandfather
William Henry Harrison Averill. He and his partner George M. Dyer laid
out the city of Averill in 1886 which became incorporated as Bandon in
1891.

I am having difficulty in finding the exact day and month in
1936 that the city of Bandon was destroyed by fire. There are lots
of information on the internet on the fire - but thay all use just
1936 Bandon fire. Anyone know at least the time of year
