Those were the days you could run a Model A allweek
on one tank.  And you could see what your were getting
from the glass top of the gas pump.  Lots of stations to
chose from.  I recall a Signal Station in Portland that had
customer who had a huge convertible.  I used to know
the name of these rare autos, but memory has faded.
In 1937 or 1939 the Signal Oil Company brought the
Jack Carson radio show to a theater in downtown
Portland and we got to see the whole cast. Vera Vague.
Carson and the crazy side kick.
