There were still some rides in 1968. I only went once so I don't know if it was just for a special event or if they were there all the time or not.

  During WWII the community of Vanport was built next to Jantzen (note correct spelling) Beach park. In the Vanport flood of May 1948 all of the housing and the park were wiped out. In the years that followed the cleanup businesses began building and opening in the area.
