Lee;
I know you were more or less finished with this line and my being obsessive
gets more clear when you realize how distant these folks are from my main
line, I don't know if Roger's daughter has anything to do with this or I am
just genrally nuts, but I ran across another thing I thought I should call
your attention to;
DIXON, FOOKS, ROUNDS posted by Karen Keyser on Wednesday, February 12, 2003
Searching for parents or siblings of William FOOKS DIXON b. Feb. 11, 1811 in
Maryland. He lived in Maryland for 22 years before going west to become an
early Oregon pioneer. I have just learned he may have been born in Somerset
Co. He married a Julia Ann ROUNDS on Jan. 1, 1833 in Indiana.

All the posts I have found are pretty old, I responded to one of them and

Les,
It's good that you brought up the question that FTM introduced.
I didn't question the date that I took from the marriage certificate, but it
is very likely a typo by the minister. The microfilm was terribly blurry.
The document shows that the license was issued on June 20th and the marriage
date appears to read 31st but I'll double check at the archives and see if I
can come up with a better date.
Thanks,
Lee
