MessageWe had a radio at the cookshack of an old shingle mill,
just off the Sandy River, circa 1933/1934, and it was
run off a car battery. My dog 'Spotty' of that time used
to lean the radio against the wall to get to the siren on
"Gangbusters" that came out of the speaker. Radio
lasted until about 1980, when someone cleaned out
my father's garage in Oakland. I recall that the program
had some pretty heavy stories about the old gangs of
the 20's and 30's.

Wow, just ask & you get answers. Thanks so much!! I guess owning a radio in 1930 was
important. My bros had a radio in the barn, something about the cows giving better milk or
was it that my mother didn't like Gangbusters.
