Dale, I had to go north on Friday so I stopped in Salem at the Archives. This Dysktra was an infant, his parents were George Dysktra (born Kansas) and Telitha Dykstra (born Missouri). Albert Maxen Dykstra was born 9/1/1900 in Ballston, Polk County, Oregon and died 2/24/1901 in Portland (cause of death meningitis).
In that 1910 census you referenced, Ancestry.com transcribed it as Telitha Howell.

Just a long shot -- this Dykstra died in 1901 in Portland -- maybe the husband of Bertha?

Does anyone know of a Bertha Dykstra who was 49 in 1910 and had a daughter named Hellen? I would like to know her maiden name and if she divorced her husband or was a widow. She married Thomas Howell around 1907 in I believe Oregon.
Thanks
Dale
