Grayson became a county in 1846. It came from Fannin County, Fannin from Red River. Red River from an old Mexican Municipality. Marriage records there begin in 1845. Texas became a state in 1845. You might try the Texas State Historical Society in Austin.

Either I'm too Dumb or Texas Records are too complicated, but I haven't been able to confirm that my gggf maried Kisiah Dobbs in Sherman Grayson Texas abt 1843. William was b. abt 1820 in KY and Kissiah was b. abt 1821 in KY.
Kissiah and William had about 15 kids!
Any one who can help me?
