If you don't find them by the phone call consider writing to the address but 
NOT writing their name on the envelope.   Inside include a letter stating 
you were friends of the people who once lived in the house and wonder if the 
new owners of the house know where the former occupants relocated.  If they 
don't perhaps they could they ask a neighbor if they perhaps still keep in 
contact with your friends.  I did this and located a pen-pal I hadn't 
written to in 30 YEARS....The parents had relocated from Minnesota to 
Oregon...right under my nose!
