I went to the MN History Library.  I don't think this Emmet Brown is yours. 
He is buried in Sheboygan, Michigan.  He died in the Mayo Clinic in
Rochester, MN  He was single. Age given 46 Birth date 7 Oct 1884, Place
Michigan.  Father - - James N Brown   Ireland. Mother - - Mary Chambers   
Michigan.  He is buried in Sheboygan, Michigan.  He died of a "Inguinal
hernia",  which he had had for four years with contributory causes of a
Pulmonary embolism of one day.  His trade is listed as "grocer".
 
The informant was a Mrs J L Cicero of Spokane Washington.  He is listed as 
single"
