Mary sometimes was called Polly, Sarah Sara, William Will, Calvin Cal, Alice was dropped for a womand 2nd
name, or sometime the first name dropped for the 2nd
or a nickname. So when you look, take a wide look.

  Sue,
Thank you so much for all your research. I never would have connected the Pearl and Perelia......I would have searched for a Pearl forever!!!!! :))

Perelia Jane has escaped me for years....and I just stumbled across the fact that her husband's name might not be Edwin. That is the family story for his name. And Martha----was called Ellen in the family.

We have attended the Elder Family re-unions in Tennessee. The name LaFayette is pronounced there: La Feet .

Times like this are when I really miss Harley and Helen Haskin......they are the ones who did lots of Linn County research...and they are the ones who gathered the Linn County Marriages 1850-1861.

You have helped answer many questions.

  Diane
