I just got this as part of a very interesting letter in response to some
info I sent to a Canadian Sharp family web site where one of my somthing or
other cousins is posted;

6. New genetic analysis of our DNA will tell us about our ancestry thousands
of years ago. You will find a link at our website to the National Geographic
Genome project. You should read up on it. You should send in vial of your
own blood to track your y-chomosome (mother's ancestry), a a vila of your
brother's blood to track your x-chromosome (father's) ancestry. They will
charge you $100 US per vial, and send tou back an amazing map back through
Europe etc. over hundreds of thousands of years.

That sounds like a much better deal than a lot I have heard of, and I
"trust" National Geographic; in 100+ years they have only publish BS twice
and were very quick to "mea culpa" when their error was pointed out, rather
than scapegoating.
