I took a close look at the stuff I downloaded earlier. I was hoping that being a "Parke" genealogy and involvin a Sumner family with a Samuel in it it would be your people, but a couple of problems, first they are in South Carolina, somehow I got that convfused, and I think they are too early for what you are looking for;
Increase Sumner, b. Dorchester, Mass. 23 Feb 1642/3 married there 26 Mar 1666/7 Sarah Staples, daghter of John and removed in 169?(6 in crease of book) with his family to Dorchester, S.C. Births have been found for the folowing children in Massachusetts (Dorchester and Milton)
1 Increase b 15 Jan 1667/8; d. 30 Sept 1683
2 Sarah b. 12 may 1669; d young
3 William, b. 9 July 1670; lost in expedition of 1690
4 Sarah b 15 July 1672; d 22 Oct 1683
5 Joseph, b. 24 Aug 1674.
6 Benjamin, b. 29 Aug 1676
7 Thankful b 20 June 1678
8 Roger b. 24 Apr 1680.
9. Samuel b. 27 July 1684
10 Mehitable b 18 June 1686

Hi Les,
Many thanks for looking around - have had little luck so far finding anything on her family in NC. Except, I believe she had a brother named William and that her father may have been named Embley (?), or something that sounded like that. Have never found him at all.
As for Samuel, there is not much so far either. If you think the Sumner/North Carolina connection looks good, I'd love to see some of the Samuel stuff.
